Update!!!

It's been so long since I posted anything I think my kids have grown up a ton they might not be recognized!! Things have been busy since Easter, we had our big vacation back east in the middle of May, birthdays, holidays and the start of summer. With small kids summer and winter kindof blend together since we don't have to worry about school schedules but at least we get to go outside for most of the day now. Kyla loves to be outside so most of our time is spent at the pool, park or backyard. She is learning how to ride her bike and spends a lot of time doing that and blowing bubbles. She would blow bubbles all day long if she could. Laici is almost 7 months old now. She is a fun baby, very happy and absolutley loves her big sister!! She smiles and laughes all the time when Kyla plays with her. She is doing the army crawl thing now and gets going pretty well. She gets up on her knees but can't quite get moving in the crawling position yet but it won't be long. Then she can follow Kyla around a little better :)

Adam and I have been busy with work and kids. Nothing really new just same old stuff. Life is good and we're happy so that's what matters!!!

Then we headed over to Nanna's and got some pictures of the kids in their Easter clothes. My mom made Adi, Kyla and Laici matching Easter dresses and they all looked so cute!!!

Since Laici is too small to get around by herself and pick up eggs Ky did it for her. She found Laici's basket with a little stuffed bunny in it and gave it to her. Laici much have thought that was good enough cause she smiled lots at Ky.

What we've been doing.....

Well to start out with we had the annual Easter Egg Hunt in the park that the Kiwanis Club puts on (and which i have to organize) So Brayden and Kyla and Jace got to go over to the park and get as many eggs as they could. It was so much fun to watch them. Unfortunatley I couldn't watch all of them because I had to keep the 4,5,and 6 year olds back while the little kids found their eggs but Poppy came with and helped the little ones get their eggs. He ended up taking 3rd in this competition!!! Good job babe!!! He should have gotten higher with how good he looked!!!

A few days ago I got Kyla a couple new shirts for the spring and summer and she loved them!! She didn't want to take them off when it was time for her bath. She also didn't want to stay still so I could take her picture so what you see is her trying to close the door on me while I am chasing her around the house with the camera. Oh fun times!!!! She does look cute though!!

Laici is getting so big so fast. It amazes me how fast they grow. She is almost 4 months old already!!! It seems like yesterday that we brought her home but, then again it seems like that with Kyla too and she will be 3 this year.
Laici is learning how to roll over and she rolled for the first time from her tummy to her back on Saturday!! Way to go Laic!! It was so cute. I took these pictures of her while she was just laying there playing. She looks like she is a natural poser!!! Too funny!!

Barbeque and Jumping on the Tramp

The other day when we saw my sister Kristi she told Kyla that we were going to have a barbeque and jump on the tramp at her house so for days Kyla talked about nothing else. She was so excited to go to cousins house that on the way down she wouldn't take a nap because she was so excited. She had a blast playing with her cousins and aunts and uncle!!! Laici was sure loving all the attention she go too!!

Kyla is so cute with Laici right now, hopefully she always will be but right now she loves having her around! She is so good to help with her and is so funny when she talks to her. Laici loves getting the attention from her big sister and will just stare at her and then laugh and smile when Kyla starts talking to her. It's pretty cute to watch them!!

Ky and Laici takin a "tubby". Laici just stares at Kyla whenever she can see her. Kyla likes to pore water over Laici's toes in the tub since I won't let her dump the cups of water on Laici's head which is what she tried to do in the first place.
This was so funny the other night. We were reading books in Kyla's room and I had to run out for a minute. When I got back in there Kyla had gotten "blankets" (actually Laici's burp cloths) and covered both Laici and herself. When I asked her what she was doing she told me "Well mom me and Laic were cold so I covered us up" OK then. She is so strange sometimes.

Kyla is wiping the spit up off of Laici's face in this one. She is so soft with her when she does that, I'm very impressed.

Show and Girls Update!

Just thought I'd add a little update on how Adam is doing with show prep. It's 4 weeks and counting now!! Yay!!! He is looking awesome and each week just keeps getting better for him!! You look great babe!!

Me and the girls are doing well also. Kyla is potty training and doing really really well with it. She is such a good girl! Laici is still trying to fight off this stupid cold she has got. It's so sad to listen to her breath because it's so hard for her. Very frustrating too not to be able to do anything to help her!!! My poor baby!! Kyla is loving being a big sister still. She is so cute with Laici. She likes to get her a burp cloth and wipe up Laici's mouth when she spits, it's pretty funny to watch her. Laici is really starting to get a personality and smiles and laughes so Kyla will sit with her and talk to her and see if she can get her to smile. Laici loves it and just smiles so big at Kyla!!

Pixton Happenings

Well things have been pretty busy latley. Adam has been training for the Mr. Utah Body Building Show 7 days a week and me and the girls have been trying to help as much as we can but there is only so much we can do besides offer some support. His show is in April so he has 7 more weeks of hard core dieting and training until showtime. He is working so hard and is going to do awesome! He is looking great!! Here are just a few funny stories that have happened recently......

The other night when Adam was giving Laici her bottle Kyla decided that her baby needed to eat too. So here are the best of buds feeding thier babies!!

Adam sat down to do bills a few days ago and Kyla was with him. He ran into the other room for a minute and when he got back Kyla had drawn all over the checkbook ledger. When he asked her what she was doing she said "I'm just payin some bills daddy." It was so stinking cute!!

Kyla decided that she wanted to be a baby like Laici and sit in the baby chair. She was there for quiet awhile too. She is so silly. She saw Laici bouncing in it and thought it looked like fun I guess so she had to try it out too.

Kyla is such a big help with Laici. She loves to hold her and give her kisses all the time. The other day I had put Laici in her swing so I could start dinner and when I walked in there to check on her this is what I found.....

I thought this was so cute so I had to blog about it. Kyla has started sitting on the counter and "helping" dad when he shaves. She thinks it's so fun to get shaving cream on her face and pretend to shave it off while dad does. It cracks me up when she does this so I had to get a picture!

Kyla had her first haircut the other day. Aunt Kassie came over and trimmed it so it was all even and put a little layer in it so that it doesn't hang in her face quite so much. She was so good and sat very still. She keeps getting combs out now and telling me she is cutting my hair! Just as long as I keep the scissors hidden I think we are ok!

When it snowed the first big storm Adam took Ky out and they made a snowman. Ky only lasted about 10 minutes because she wouldn't put on her gloves and her hands got too cold but Adam made a couple of great snowmen!!!

Well we've been pretty busy for the last month so I haven't had a lot of time to blog. I am finally settling into a routine now that things are getting back to normal. Adam has been off of work since the baby was born and he just went back this week so now I am on my own! Our baby girl was born on Dec. 5th at 4:11 p.m. She weighed 7lbs 7oz and was 20in. long. We named her Laici (not one of the names we were considering when we got to the hospital by the way) She is such a sweet baby. She doesn't really make a lot of noise and Kyla loves her to death. She is such a good big sister. She wants to hold her and give her her binki. When Laici cries Kyla will run up to her and say "Oh Laic, what's wrong?" and kinda pat her belly a little. It's so cute!!

We took Kyla up to see Santa in town a couple of days before Christmas because she had been saying that she wanted to ask him to bring her a bicycle. So we got up there and we were the first in line and she was so excited, but the second that the door opened and she saw Santa she wanted nothing to do with him. She would not let go of me and I had to actually pick her up and take her into his little house. She just cried and wouldn't talk to him but I guess for a two year old he's a pretty scary guy. Then she told everyone that she didn't like Santa very much because he scared her. She's still talking about that and it cracks me up every time she tells me that story.

Then we had Christmas which was fun this year except Adam got sick with a horrible flu bug on Christmas Eve so I packed up the girls and we went to the Pixtons for our usual Christmas Eve party and left Adam to try and get some sleep and have some peace and quiet. We missed him very very much but Ky had a good time playing with all her cousins. Thankfully he was feeling better by Christmas morning so that we could open all our presents with him. We all got bikes from Santa and Ky was pretty excited. She has been riding hers around the house ever since. Then we went to the Graves for our Christmas party and gift exchange and had a good time opening presents and visiting. Ky loves it when she gets to play with her cousins and Laici got a lot of TLC from her aunts and uncles.

Well I don't have any pictures to go along with it but I thought I would give a baby update. We had another Dr. appt on the 20th and things are progressing but slowly. I'm dialated to 2plus and have been having contractions at about 20 min apart but they aren't getting any closer yet so we wait. We go back on Wed, the 26th and we will see if things are any farther along. The Dr. was funny at our appt. He kept looking for a reason to admit and induce labor further but there just wasn't enough of one! Unless you are at at least 39 weeks, in active labor or the baby is in some kind of distress the hospital will just send you home. Kindof a bummer but we do what we have to to make sure those babies come out with the best chance we can give them!! Oh the joys of pregnancy!! Hopefully I will have better news in the next couple of days! She still doesn't have a name though, Adam and I are working on it but we just aren't having alot of luck coming up with anythig!! Suggestions anyone???

Adam got a white board with some dry-erase markers for Kyla the other day and she has been "painting" ever since! She thinks that is so much fun. She will sit in front of it for the longest time and draw with all the different colors and then she will run to wherever we are and say "come look at my beautiful painting" She is so funny. She keeps us laughing everyday!!

Halloween

Well Kyla got to go trick-or-treating for Halloween this year. She had so much fun!! She has been telling me she wanted to go trick-or-treating ever since we went to Grandma T's Halloween party so she was pretty happy when I told her that we could put on her Minnie Costume and go. I forgot my camera so I didn't get very many pictures. Thanks Linda for sending them to me!!! Kyla and Jack saying trick-or-treat and picking some candy out of the bucket. Thanks Uncle Clint!!

Pumpkin Festival

We went to Brigham City's first ever Pumpkin Festival on Saturday. The Boys and Girls club put this on instead of the city doing BooFest this year. Adam, Kyla and I spent Friday night putting up the display (my work was one of the sponsors for this event so I had to come up with a pumpkin display and Adam was the muscle behind all the lifting. Thanks Honey!!). Then on Saturday they had kids games, pumpkin painting, and trick-or-treating at the park so we took Kyla, Jace and Adi to that. It was pretty fun and the kids were so cute!! Halloween Party at Grandma T's

We had our annual Halloween Party at Grandma T's last night. The costumes were so cute!! It is so much fun to see what everyone comes up with!! Kyla was Minnie Mouse, Adi was a BYU Cheerleader, Jace was a cowboy, and Jed and Maegen were too!! (not hats though) The little ones had a good time running around and Trick-or-Treating!!

New "Dog House"

We got a new Glider Rocker for when the baby comes so we could have one in the living room and the baby's room too and Adam made Kyla a little playhouse out of the box it came in. She was so excited when she saw it!! She calls it her "dog house" and wants to play "peek-a-boo" in the rectangle (she means the window) all the time! It was quite a sight to see her daddy try and fit in it but she loved it!!

This just made me laugh the other night so I had to blog about it. On Sunday night when we got home from her party she wanted to watch Mickey Mouse so I turned it on for her and she will usually come and lay on my bed with me and snuggle before she goes to bed but all she wanted to do was lay on her very own couch and watch Mickey!! She wanted nothing to do with mom or mom's bed!! I guess that's what we get for getting her her very own couch!!

Well we just had Kyla's 2nd Birthday on Sunday!! She has been saying for a week that she is going to be 2! She's been pretty excited for it. We started out by having a little party for her on Saturday when Nanna, Poppy, Uncle "Keck", "Ya-Ya" and Maegen came over and had cake and ice cream. Nanna and Poppy gave her a Mickey Mouse Clubhouse DVD and we watched it quite a few times after everyone went home. She loves it!!! Then on Sunday her Daddy took her to get donuts for breakfast!! Then she got to open her presents from Mommy and Daddy. She played all morning and then we went to Grandma and Grandpa Pixton's house were all her aunts and uncles came to help here celebrate. She had such a good time!! She was so tired when we got home from all the playing she took a bath and crawled into her "big girl bed" and went right to sleep without a sound!! I guess that's how you know it was a good day!!! I just can't believe my little girl is 2 already!!

New Baby News

We had our last Dr appt on the 25th of September. Everything is looking good and he even got a few shots of the baby that he put in 3D for us, it's so cool how he can do that!! With Kyla she would never show us her face, she always had her hands up in front of it but this one doesn't seem to mind getting her picture taken!! Adam and I are getting pretty excited for her to get here!!!

First Post/Summer Fun

This is the first Post I have ever done and I am still trying to get the hang of it! Here is a look at what we've been doing this summer:
Here is Kyla in her little whale pool in the back yard with her Dad. I didn't get a very good picture of Adam in the pool with her, i wish I would have though cause it was pretty funny to see him try and fit in her little pool but she wouldn't get in without him!
